With huge anticipation and piles of pride times two, Ohlins USA announces the launch of its first racing team, set to campaign the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship series. The mission of Team Ohlins USA is to showcase Ohlins’ advanced suspension technology in motocross racing in North America, and to provide promising, up-and-coming riders the chance to develop their skills in the atmosphere of a factory team with professional technicians. Team Ohlins USA is looking to add one more rider to its three-rider rostrum.

Set to enter competition at the June 11th round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, Team Ohlins USA’s riders to date are Michael Clarke (with an “e”) and Garret (one “t”) Toth. The team will be competing on the latest version of the Yamaha YZ450F, winner of numerous magazine shootouts for best Dirtbike of the year.

Promising riders wishing to apply to be a member of Team Ohlins USA need to send a biography and race history to Stacey Berger: stacey.berger@ohlinsusa.com, or by mail to 703-C South Grove Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Please, no phone calls or texting.

Stacey Berger, Ohlins USA’s Off Road Manager, said, “Stepping up to having our own racing team is a huge challenge that we’re really looking forward to. We’ll be at the track to support every rider using our products, but regularly working closely with our three dedicated riders sharing our mission will allow us to meet our goals quickly, benefitting every Ohlins racer. We’ve got high expectations and we’re looking at the season with great anticipation. We’ve worked with Garret and Michael in the past and believe in their developing abilities. It will be great to see who else we’re able to add to the team.”
