MotorcycleUSA.com’s popular fantasy motocross game is back for the 2011 season with new riders, new teams and better racing than ever. Fantasy Motocross 2011 follows the best riders in the world competing in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships. Players utilize two divisions, 250 Motocross and the premier 450 Motocross, to compete for championship prizes with one easy format – and best of all, it’s completely free!
Think you know your riders? We hope so because fantasy players will be able to choose three riders in each class – one A-Rider and two B-Riders – for all 12 exciting rounds of competition. MotorcycleUSA.com makes it even better by allowing choices for each individual moto, so players will have 24 chances to switch things up. Fantasy Motocross 2011 is supported by a full list of rider bios, individual race previews, detailed results and insider reports, giving every player the tools needed to make wise decisions.
“We learned some things about fantasy motocross last year and made a few tweaks for 2011,” says Off-Road Editor, JC Hilderbrand. “This year it will be even easier for fans to play along and they can choose their favorite riders more often. The first round is still weeks away and already there’s drama building. If the Outdoors is anything like the Supercross season we just witnessed, Fantasy Motocross 2011 is something you won’t want to miss!”
Every player can watch their weekly progress in the overall standings, but it’s also possible to create your own leagues and play directly against friends or coworkers. The volatile nature of dirt bike racing makes Fantasy Motocross 2011 the hottest game on the Web. In order to be the best, players not only have to manage their weekly teams, but take into account rider attrition, nagging injuries and temporary replacement riders throughout the summer. Names like Ryan Villopoto, Kevin Windham, Jake Weimer and defending champion, Ryan Dungey headline the 450 class with new challengers like Trey Canard and Christophe Pourcel. Heavy-hitters in the 250s are Justin Barcia, Dean Wilson, Eli Tomac and Broc Tickle against fast wildcards like Martin Davalos and Malcolm Stewart.
To sweeten the deal, MotorcycleUSA.com teamed up with DVS and MSR Racing to hook up the overall winner at the end of the season. The prize pack includes special Kevin Windham apparel, including a Flex Fit Hat, K-Dub T-shirt and an autographed Windham jersey. Plus, the winner will walk away in a new set of DVS Premier Heir shoes.
