eCRP to Race First Round of 2011 TTXGP EU

eCRP to participate in the TTXGP EU.

Saturday, June 18 at the legendary British circuit of Silverstone the season of TTXGP EU will start, the World Championship of electric motorbikes, which eCRP got the European title in 2010, conquered by Alessandro Brannetti.
This year the team, the only one from Italy, has decided to participate in the opening round with two riders: the reconfirmed Brannetti (# 44) and Alex Battistini (# 78).

We will then see the eCRP 1.4, the 2011 flagship electric motorcycle, be on track to meet their contenders on the English circuit, with the aim of pushing the means to the the limit to test its performances so far achieved.

“The track is the best testing place, ” said Giampiero Testoni, technical director of the team, “we’re going to Silverstone, with very clear ideas about our mission. These events give us the opportunity to develop the eCRP 1.4 and gather all the information necessary to continue the research on the vehicle, “said Testoni.

The research and development have always been the main principles of CRP Racing that combines the passion for two wheels with high technology and the background of international motorsport.

The future holds important events for the Italian team, who will race at Laguna Seca, United States, on July 23 and 24 together with the FIM e-Power and TTXGP at the MotoGP.

The programme of the race at Silverstone TTXGP EU schedules free practice on Saturday, June 18 in the morning, the first session of qualifying in the afternoon.

On Sunday, June 19 the second qualifying session is scheduled at 10:45 am and the race will take place at 4.30 pm.
