Suzuki is pleased to announce the beginning of the 2011 BusaBeats MC Battle with a kickoff celebration event in Monterey, Calif. featuring original BusaBeats winner J.PIGG, celebrity guests, Michael Jordan Motorsports and team riders Ben Bostrom and Roger Lee Hayden.
The BusaBeats MC Battle was launched as a campaign to spotlight the diverse lifestyle and culture connected to the Suzuki Hayabusa and bridge it with consumers. This interactive, grassroots promotion connects young, urban motorcycle enthusiasts and hip-hop audiences with the iconic style and performance of the Suzuki Hayabusa through extensive social media involvement.
The BusaBeats MC Battle invites amateur MCs from around the country to add personalized lyrics about the Hayabusa to beat tracks created by celebrity record producers, and compete against each other using social media to collect “dope points,” and take their chance at winning one of many top prizes, including the customized Hayabusa.
For 2011, Suzuki has partnered with Michael Jordan Motorsports to collaborate on a unique, customized 2011 Hayabusa as the grand prize for this year’s BusaBeats MC Battle.
At a customer appreciation event held yesterday at the Blue Fin in Monterey, Calif. during the 2011 Red Bull Grand Prix MotoGP weekend, Suzuki celebrated the beginning of the 2011 BusaBeats MC Battle with TV/radio personality Big Tigger and original BusaBeats winner J.PIGG, who laid down the tracks and entertained the crowds.
The BusaBeats MC Battle is also part of “Suzuki NOW” – a one-stop destination that will deliver quick, easy access to the latest Suzuki news, information, events and special offers. Visit www.suzukicycles.com/now for more information.
