Raised on two wheels in the deserts of Nevada, the newest addition to the MotoUSA crew has been part of the industry for well over 15 years.Equal parts writer, photographer, and rider, "JDawg" is a jack of all trades and even a master of some.

Trey Canard top was strong in the opening moto but had a major crash in Moto 2 which caused a restart.
Honda’s Trey Canard was taken of the track in the  Asterisk Medical Mule after a massive crash at Washougal.

Reports are trickling in that American Honda’s Trey Canard has indeed broken his femur in his wicked second-moto crash at the 2011 Washougal National. Canard had just returned to competition a week before at Millville, where he posted a third place finish. He was also well on his way to scoring another top-3 finish before disaster struck early on in Moto-2 when he swapped at the bottom of horsepower hill, hitting the Washington soil hard.

The race was red flagged while the Asterisk Medical Crew attended to Canard as he complained of pain in his left thigh. Word on the street is that he broke his femur in the same area as his previous injury; however the rod that was still in his leg from his first break was not damaged. This would obviously put him out for the remainder of the 2011 season and is yet another blow to Honda’s injury-filled year.

Kevin Windham sat out Washougal, but now with Ice-Trey out for the rest of the season will K-Dub once again step in to fill the empty space under the Honda canopy? We’re betting that he does.
