After crashing near the end of the first moto  Patterson was unable to get her bike started and lost points on Fiolek.
Jessica Patterson moved eight points closer to Ashley Fiolek in the WMX series after posting the double victory at Steel City.

DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jessica Patterson posted her fourth victory in the 2011 WMX Championship. Patterson outperformed her series rival, Ashley Fiolek, in both motos to snare the double victory and repeat her victory from last year. Fiolek posted second overall with 3-2 scores – the American Honda rider unable to grab any wins to keep her competitor at bay. Meanwhile, TLD Honda’s Tarah Gieger finished third for the day in Pennsylvania. Despite losing ground on Patterson in the championship, Fiolek maintains a 22-point advantage in the series at it embarks toward its final round in Pala, California.
