Black Dog Cycle Works (BDCW) is pleased to announce that they were able to raise $1,430.00 in a charity auction to benefit the Rider Down Foundation.

The Rider Down Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping responsible off road motorcyclists and ATV racers who have been injured while riding. Proceeds are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues. The Rider Down Foundation can be found online at

The charity auction was held in Sandpoint, Idaho at the 2nd Annual Selkirks Rally hosted by Black Dog Cycle Works. The three day event brought forty-five adventure riders from all over the United States to ride in the beautiful Selkirk Mountains. Attendees arrived on a variety of motorcycles, mostly large dual-sport machines such as KTMs and BMWs. Special demonstrations on setting up a motorcycle to fit the rider and a WARN motorcycle winch demonstration were offered by Bret Tkacs and RJ Myrup of Puget Sound Safety.

Klim brought fit samples of their new line of dual sport gear due out Fall 2011, and Redverz Gear brought their new Expedition II tents that just came onto the market. Other weekend events included a pig roast, many half and full-day dual sport rides of varies terrain. Camping was along the Upper Pack River, with a yurt housing option minutes away.

Black Dog Cycle Works acknowledges the $1430.00 donation would not have been possible without the generous support of the Rally sponsors: Klim, Rigid Industries LED Lighting, Enduristan, Kriega USA, RideWest BMW, Trailmaster Adventures, Giant Loop, BRP, Redverz Gear, ProMoto Billet, WARN, Shorai Batteries, and Outrider Journal.

Black Dog Cycle Works will be hosting another rally in 2012, and can be reached on the web at or telephone at 208-263-0438.
