The 2012 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring (top) and Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP (bottom) will be available in special edition colorways. The 2011 MSRP will remain.
Ducati’s grand prize for the 2012 model lineup, the 1199 Panigale Superbike, will be revealed at the upcoming EICMA Milan Bike Show, but in the meantime the Italian marque announces modest cosmetic updates for its popular Multistrada and Hypermotard models.
The Mulistrada 1200, Motorcycle USA’s 2010 Street Bike of the Year, will be offered with a revised “comfort-enhanced” seat. The Multistrada 1200 S Touring will also be available in a special colorway, with “race titanium matte” paint and blacked out frame. The Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP will be available in red, white and black “Ducati Corse” colorway. Both model lines will retain 2011 pricing: Multistrada 1200 $14,995, Multistrada 1200 S Sport and 1200 S Touring $19,995; Hypermotard 1100 EVO $11,995 and 1100 EVO SP $14,495.
Just weeks away from the unveiling of Ducati’s new 1199 Panigale Superbike at the EICMA International Motorcycle Show in Milan (November 10th – 13th) and following the recent release and launch of the brand new Streetfighter 848, Ducati now reveal even more details of next year’s range.
Having proved its innovative concept and established itself as a new industry benchmark, the awardwinning Ducati Multistrada family moves into 2012 as the company’s top-selling motorcycle, with the confident range of the Multistrada 1200, 1200 S Sport Pikes Peak Special Edition and 1200 S Touring. In addition to the currently available red and arctic white color schemes, the Multistrada 1200 S Touring will also be offered in a brand new “race titanium matte” color scheme with a “racing black” frame, arriving in dealerships December, 2011. All 2012 models will have a revised, comfort-enhanced rider’s seat with an increased front and rear length and will be offered at model year 2011 pricing.
The 2012 Hypermotard 1100EVO SP will now be available as a Corse Edition, taking the whole Hypermotard concept to a higher level in Ducati Corse style. High ground clearance, high spec suspension, new seat aesthetics and high bars make the 1100EVO SP Corse Edition track-ready for action in full red, white and black Ducati Corse official colors. With pricing that will remain unchanged, the 2012 Hypermotard 1100EVO SP is available immediately.
