His insatiable thirst for life is only surpassed by his monthly fuel bill. Whether rocketing on land, flying through the air, or jumping the seas, our Road Test Editor does it all and has the scars to prove it.

TwoTwo Motorsports Chad Reed had a difficult night in St. Louis after landing on a tuff block which cost him time.
Chad Reed and TwoTwo Motorrsports will continue to race Honda CRF450Rs in 2012-2013.

After putting together a very successful Supercross and motocross seasons this year, Chad Reed and TwoTwo Motorsports has elected to continue its relationship with American Honda. The team will campaign Honda CRF450Rs for the next two seasons.
“In some ways this feels like redemption,” Reed said. “In the beginning the support from American Honda was limited, which was completely understandable given we were a new team without any runs on the board. Our new relationship with American Honda holds so much potential and for me. It is a money can’t buy partnership to be associated with a manufacturer that is as equally committed to winning as we are.”
Reed’s team will be based inside Honda’s sprawling Torrance, California headquarters right next to the race shop that builds and maintains the factory race bikes of Trey Canard and Justin Brayton. Joining the team as lead mechanic will be ace tuner Mike Gosselaar. Gosselaar preveiously worked at Suzuki and was one of the reasons both Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Dungey’s had so much success.
Reed will now begin his training program in effort to get prepared for the Supercross season opener in January at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California.
