His insatiable thirst for life is only surpassed by his monthly fuel bill. Whether rocketing on land, flying through the air, or jumping the seas, our Road Test Editor does it all and has the scars to prove it.

Freestyle motocross rider Jim McNeil passed away Sunday. The 32-year-old rider from Phoenix, Arizona was practicing for a freestyle dirt bike exhibition during the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
“We are truly saddened today by the loss of one of our Boost Mobile Freestyle Motocross riders,” said sponsor Boost Mobile on its Facebook page. ”He died this morning after an accident during the team’s practice run before a performance in Texas. He’s been competing since 2000 and has been performing on the Boost Mobile team for seven years. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife and family and to all his FMX colleagues.”
This is the second Boost Mobile-sponsored athlete to pass away in ’11, the first being off-road racer and freestyle rider Jeff Kargola this spring in Mexico.
