AGV Diesel Mowie Helmet
Whenever I hop on the shop scooter to grab a bite to eat, the first thing I reach for is my AGV Diesel Mowie Helmet. Not only is it the most stylish scooter lid out there, it’s comfortable and well-constructed. No other scooter helmet on the market rivals the attention to detail lavished on the Mowie, from the brushed aluminum lettering to the finely stitched leather. A fully removable liner makes cleaning easy. The funky flip down visor is convenient and makes you look like a fighter pilot – cue “Highway to the Danger Zone.” Read more in our AGV Diesel Mowie Helmet Review. – Justin Dawes
Rockhard American Classic Helmet
Scooter enthusiasts that have an eye for classics should check out Rockhard’s American Classic Helmet. Featuring a vintage-style open face design with five snap visor or shield attachments and a rear goggle strap closure, the American Classic Helmet comes in gold, matte black, red or silver. Made of an advanced composite shell that meets or exceeds D.O.T. standards, the lid also features authentic leather trim with a satin inner liner. Givi Monolock E300 Tour Top Case
When additional storage is needed, the Givi Monolock E300 Tour Top Case is an ideal mid-size accessory for most scooters. The opening/detaching system is one of its premier features and includes a patented locking system – allowing users to open/detach the top case as well as attach/release it from the plate all with one key. The 30-liter top case is big enough to store one helmet, and the fitting system is designed to last. Like the Rockhard American Classic Helmet, the Skratch Pin-Stripe design features snaps for aftermarket visors and shields. A custom fiberglass shell is used to meet protection standards, while a padded chin strap holds the lid in place. Inside, a custom quilted liner provides a comfortable fit. The outer shell features classic graphics that are come of the hottest on the market. Available in sizes X-small through 2X, this helmet will set you back $140 – not a bad price for an awesome design.
AFX FX-50 Helmet
As a rule I prefer full-face helmets. Yes, even for scooters… That said, there’s something about the convenience and comfort of an open-face design – particularly when utilized on a little scoot. The AFX FX-50 Helmet is a solid budget buy. It looks good, with a retractable sun visor an appreciated feature on sub-$100 model. The shield and visor are both removable, should the need arise, with the liner and cheek pads also removable. As far as protection goes, the FX-50 meets DOT and ECE standards. Overall, it’s an affordable bargain for the scooter tribe. – Bart Madson
HJC IS-2 Solid Helmet
Lightweight and comfortable, the HJC IS-2 Solid Helmet offers more features than a retro lid. Using an advanced polycarbonate composite shell, the helmet utilizes advanced CAD technology during construction to ensure a superior fit. An impact absorbing multiple density EPS liner is included in addition to a removable/washable interior lining. The liner features moisture-wicking fibers that are also anti-bacterial to keep the helmet odor-free. An integrated smoke-tinted sun-shield visor, which adjusts to three positions, is easy to deploy and retract during riding, but can also be removed.
REV’IT! CR Jacket
Suited for scooter riding, the Rev’IT! CR Jacket features a classic rider style with a PWR poly-cotton outer shell. For winter riding a detachable thermal body warmer is included. Protection is provided through Knox CE armor and perforated EVA foam. The inner lining is textile mesh, which is comfortable even over bare arms. Throughout its design are adjustable tabs, slit pockets and inner pockets. It zips using a durable double front zipper, and the jacket also has jean loops to keep you covered while in a riding pose.
Bobster Bugeye Goggles
For avid scooter riders eye protection is a must. The Bobster Bugeye Goggles provide low profile protection while fitting under most helmets. They feature open cell sweat absorbing foam around the frame with polycarbonate lenses. RX ready, each lens comes with 100% UVA and UVB protection with an adjustable goggle strap to customize fit. One of the perks of the design is its NXT Transitional lenses, which offer sun protection while on the fly.
Fieldsheer On Base 2.0 Mesh Vest

Made of 65% Rayon and 35% polyester, the River Road Balaclava provides good warmth and protection for the face. Since the material isn’t nearly as bulky as other designs, it fits comfortably under most helmets. For riding in chilly conditions when layering is essential, this type of product is a must buy.
