For the 2012 Australasian Safari rally the event organization will offering to a limited number of moto or quad competitors free shipping of their bike and gear in a sea container to Perth Australia and return as part of their event entry fee.

Two sea containers will be loaded at :

Le Harve France
Cape Town South Africa
Additional split container freight will be available on a case by case basis, from other countries including (but not limited to) Japan, NZ, UAE and the USA.

Each competitor will need to get their bike and gear to a designated freight depot. At this stage pending further confirmation from the shipping agent it is expected that the loading deadline will be late July / early August 2012. Shortly the Safari organization will be putting together information on the deal and other services that rider’s may be interested in taking up.

These services would include:
• Dakar style Malle Motos service
• Mechanic support
• Crew / supporter transport during the event
• Accommodation during the event
• Catering packages

In addition, the information pack will include Sea container loading deadline and schedule and a fee payment schedule. The intent is to provide a complete list of options and costs so that any rider can easily, with little fuss, organize to get their bike to the event and have any support required during the event.

In the meantime, please raise any queries here, by PM or contact the event organization directly.
