Teknic signs Josh Day to take on the World. After winning the AMA Supersport East Championship in 2009 Josh Day found himself without a ride in 2010. The economy and massive budget reductions did not leave room for many riders, even those with a #1 Plate. With no ride Josh Day went back to his full time job in 2010. In 2011 Josh landed a ride in the European Superstock championship.
Expectations were lowered since Josh had never been to any of these tracks and would be travelling on his own for most of the season. Apparently someone forgot to tell Josh this as he finished the season with 2 wins, 5 podiums and 2nd in the championship. His accomplishments landed him a full ride on the Italian Go 11 World Supersport Team in 2012.
Josh will compete aboard the Go 11 Kawasaki 600 in the 2012 World Supersport Championship Josh did not start racing until the age of 14. His first exposure to motorcycle racing was through his Dad’s paint shop when they were painting some racers bikes. Josh has a lot of talent and it is really cool to see him get this opportunity. We are excited to be able to support him added Chris Hayes. We encourage motorcycle racing fans across the country to cheer for Josh in his attempt to bring a World Championship home to Orlando, Florida and the USA.
