‘Hogslayer,’ a documentary about the dual-engine Norton drag bike that captured multiple world championships in the ’70s, recently won a Telly Award.
The Edge Ltd., producer of “Hogslayer: The Unapproachable Legend,” has been awarded the coveted Telly Award for the “Hogslayer” documentary. The Telly Award is a standard of excellence for the production industry and one of the most sought after awards from large international production companies to independent producers. This is the second Telly Award won by the “Hogslayer” film project. The first Telly was awarded for the “Hogslayer” trailer in Spring of 2011 prior to the Premiere. It is a very rare occurrence for one film project to win two Telly Awards.
Since the “Hogslayer” documentary release in Fall of 2011, it has sold on DVD and Blu-Ray to an enthusiastic audience throughout nine countries worldwide. Motorcycle enthusiasts, race fans, and the general public alike, have found the documentary to be an inspiration through the innovation and courage of the World Champion Sunset Motors motorcycle drag race team.
“Hogslayer: The Unapproachable Legend” is the true-life story of the dual-engine Norton dragster designed, built, and raced by TC Christenson and John Gregory of Sunset Motors in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The documentary chronicles the Sunset Motors Racing Team’s unrivaled innovation and unbridled courage as they faced unyielding challengers throughout the United States and Europe in the 1970’s to capture multiple world championships. The original Hogslayer dragster is presently on permanent exhibit at the National Motorcycle Museum in the United Kingdom.
