Competing in every discipline of motorcycle racing possible, when he isn't mastering his skill of social networking, the new kid will do just about anything to throw his leg over a bike and ride it until he simply cannot hold on anymore.

XR1200 podium: Tyler OHara center in first Kyle Wyman left in second and Michael Barnes right in third.
XR1200 podium: Tyler O’Hara (center) in first, Kyle Wyman (left) in second and Michael Barnes (right) in third.

Tyler O’Hara grabbed an early lead on his Bartel’s Harley Davidson in the Vance & Hines XR1200 Race. The California resident put his head down and gapped the rest of the field until he had a pretty comfortable 3 second gap on second place KLR Group rider Kyle Wyman. Infineon race winner Michael Barnes of Bartel’s held down the third spot but seemed to be struggling with the fast-paced track of Miller Motorsports Park. By the halfway point of the race the veteran rider was six seconds off of his teammate and race leader O’Hara.

“I was really focused out there,” explained O’Hara.” “I’m glad to be able to get this for win for my Bartel’s Harley Davidson team especially in front of this World Superbike crowd. My bike was working awesome and the race couldn’t have gone any better for me.”

Kyle Wyman took second almost four seconds ahead of Barnes, who was happy to end with a podium finish.
“I had a lot of fun out there as always,” Barnes said post-race. “Unfortunately, I couldn’t put it together but I want to give it up to my teammate for taking the race win.”

While XP Motorsport’s Michael Corbino held down a lonely fourth-place position, the race for fifth was on between Kuryakan’s Gerry Signorelli and Ruthless Racing teammates David Estok and Darren James. At the end of the race the riders had built a small gap between one another.

Michael Corbino took the fourth-place honors and fifth would eventually go to Signorelli. Estok and James took sixth and seventh positions respectively while Bartel’s Harley Davidson team owner Josh Chisum finished eighth.

Kyle Wyman couldnt catch OHara and had to settle for second-place.
Kyle Wyman was unable to catch O’Hara at Miller and remains second in overall championship points.
