Fox Motion Elite Shoe Review

The Fox Motion Elite shoe is an motocross-inspired athletic shoe.

Motorcycling and actions sports apparel brand, Fox, continues to expand into the casual and active wear scenes with its new Fox Racing Motion-Elite Shoes. The footwear is designed for those looking for a functional athletic shoe that’s comfortable and looks cool both on and off track.

With shoe in hand it’s quite obvious that it’s one of the lighter athletic shoes on the market with each weighing 8.6 ounces (U.S. size 9.5). Loosen the laces and slip your foot inside and it has the plushness and comfort of a slipper. The bottom sole feels soft to the touch yet still offers a high-level of cushion if you’re running or charging up or down a flight of stairs – though it might be a little too flexible for some folk’s tastes. The outer sole also has a good about of grip on wet or dry pavement.

The foot bed offers a slender, more form-fitting cut and has a true-to-size fit for my 9.5 U.S. (43 Euro) foot. Mesh material is used throughout so it breathes efficiently even in warmer climates. Durability-wise, after about three weeks of non-stop use, the shoes show no signs of excessive wear aside from the white strip of sole turning brown from general use. But it’s nothing some Simple Green and a clean rag can’t fix.

Fox’s new Motion shoe is without question the most comfortable footwear we’ve every worn. And that’s saying a lot, especially when compared against other industry heavy hitters including Nike. The Motion is available in four colors (Black/White, Red/Black, White/Gray and White/Green) at a price of $90, sizes 7-13 U.S.
