According to the NHTSA, the “regulator/rectifier can overheat and prevent the motorcycle from charging. Once the battery is fully discharged, the motorcycle may stall.” The risk of a crash and injury increases if the motorcycle stalls unexpectedly.
Triumph will notify owners and dealers will replace the regulator/rectifier free of charge. Owners of the affected models can contact the Triumph service department directly at 1-678-854-2010.
