Ducati’s biggest news at the Intermot Show in Cologne, Germany centered on the first public appearances of the 2013 Multistrada 1200 and the 2013 Panigale RS13, which is set to debut in World Superbike competition next year. The Italian marque didn’t leave its other production models in the lurch though and it offers a host of cosmetic upgrades to the Diavel, Monster and 848 Superbike for 2013.
The Ducati Diavel first saw the light of day in 2010 during the Milan International Motorcycle Show, and the Diavel Carbon continues to lead the way in 2013. The Carbon is only available in a “red carbon” color scheme for 2013, which features a vivid, gloss red stripe down the center of the fuel tank and tail over a matte carbon black base. The Diavel Dark is, as the name suggests, completely blacked-out while the two remaining standard Diavels come in Ducati red and metallic blue, both highlighted by a white racing stripe down the center of the tank and tail.
The 20th Anniversary Edition Ducati Monster comes in Ducati red with bronze trellis frame, brake calipers, master-cylinders and other chassis components.
The Ducati Monster turned 20 in 2012 and the Bologna-based company has dressed its 2013 Monster 1100 EVO, 796 and 696 Anniversary Editions in the same livery as in 1992, with Ducati red and bronze trellis frames, brake calipers, master-cylinders and chassis components. The standard models also return, all three are available in red. The 696 also comes in dark stealth and stone white while the 796 is available in arctic white or diamond black silk. The standard 1100 EVO comes in red with a white racing stripe or diamond black silk with a grey stripe. The 1100 EVO Diesel also returns, sporting the customary matte green and black color scheme.
Ducati adds an 848 EVO Corse Special Edition to its Superbike family, decked in the Ducati Test Team color scheme of matte black and matte grey and set upon a red trellis and black wheels. The Corse Special Edition also sports a new aluminum fuel tank that has been brush-finished and matte clear-coated black. The standard 848 EVO comes in Ducati red, dark stealth and arctic white. The 2013 1199 Panigale will be available in arctic white as well, as will the 1199 Panigale S. The 1199 Panigale S Tricolore comes in red and white with green pinstripes.
Ducati also features a full line of accessories for the Diavel, Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada, Streetfighter and Superbikes for 2013 as well as a line of apparel geared toward each individual model.
