Episode one of Motorcycle-USA’s Chronicles of a Club Racer was selected by the Los Angeles Motorcycle Film Festival and will premier Sunday night in LA at the Golden Road Brewery beginning at 6pm.
Internet-based motorcycle publication Motorcycle USA is pleased to announce that the first installment of its Chronicles of a Club Racer video series will be featured in this year’s Los Angeles Motorcycle Film Festival.
The film festival recognizes creative short films that present facets of life on two wheels. Get up. Fall Down. Get Up Again. is the story of writer, actor and motorcyclist, John Hensley. Having been sidetracked from road racing owing to the responsibilities of everyday life, CCR documents Hensley’s attempt to get back up to speed in the sport he loves.
“I’m so excited to know that episode one is going to be premiering at the LA motorcycle festival,” shares Hensley. “It’s wonderful that there is a venue available for motorcycle-related content—and to be included in that is a special thing. I hope people receive the first episode in the spirit in which it was made.”
The episode was shot and edited by Motorcycle-USA’s Digital Media Producer, Ray Gauger, with some footage captured in conjuncture with MotoUSA’s annual industry-leading Superbike Smackdown sportbike comparison review.
“This project is a departure from what we normally do at MotoUSA,” says Gauger. “It was a great exercise in cinematography and demonstrating the beauty and grace of man and machine. It’s great to get recognized for it and be part of this year’s festival.”
The LA Motorcycle Film Festival takes place this Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Golden Road Brewery near Griffith Park near downtown Los Angeles. For more information on Chronicles of a Club racer visit www.ccracer.com
