Sometimes a new slip-on exhaust or rear drive sprocket doesn’t make the Christmas list sent off to Santa, but we’re going to guess that a toy motorcycle or new bike might hit the mark. We’ve even found some goodies that will make the more advanced bikers in the house smile. Check out some of the items that made us, and our kids jump for joy in the 2012 Motorcycle Gift Guide to Toys and Games.
American Throttle Trivia Playing Cards
Looking to increase your knowledge of all things two-wheeled? Or to impress friends and relatives with your ability to pull obscure facts about motorcycle history to mind in an instant? Or maybe you’re just looking for a fun way to pass the time in the evenings…whatever the case, American Throttle’s Trivia Playing Cards will meet your needs and then some. Perfect on a long trip, around the kitchen table or after a long days ride, these cards will provide plenty of fodder for discussion, and if that gets old, they’re also printed with standard playing card rank and suit for more traditional gaming.
Strider ST-3 Balance Bike
Learning balance and coordination is vital to the development of young children, especially if they’re going to have access to motorcycles later on. The Strider ST-3 Balance Bike offers a perfect platform for children as young as 18 months to as old as five to start maneuvering a two-wheeled contraption that will foster critical skills they’ll need later in life. Designed with mini-handlebars, grips and saddle, the Strider is tailored for the little ones but can be fitted later on with an Extra Long Seat post and standard sized seat once they grow. It’s extremely light, easy to assemble and begins to inspire confidence right out of the box.
Kid Kraft Roaring Softail Rocker Wooden Motorcycle Rocking Chair
The Kid Kraft Roaring Softail Rocker Wooden Motorcycle Rocking Chair gives kids the chance to jump in the saddle and grab the bars at an early age. Designed for children ages 3-8, the Softail Rocker is just over 35-inches wide, 15.5-inches tall and a little more than 24-inches long. It will require some assembly, but once up and running it’s sure to be one of the hottest cruisers in the house.
Replica Toy Bikes
I have probably spent at least $1000 on these replica toy motorcycles and ATVs over the past three years. My boy loves them, plays with them until the wheels fall off then cleans his room, does dishes and pleads for me to buy him more. They are awesome looking and will entertain a kid for days. But be advised: They are not durable toys so they can break if you’re too rough on them. It’s supposed to be a display piece but they are so awesome that it’s impossible for kids not to play with them. At $20 it’s a cheap fix really. You can blow that on lunch. If you want to be the star of the show these replica bikes and ATVs are the bees-knees. – Hutch
This is what real moto-heads hang on the mantle. You want to show Santa Claus and all your family what Christmas means to you? Hang a boot on the mantle and let the whole world know that you want a sand spray sandwich, a roost-burger with loam and an eye full of mud. That’s all it really takes to make a rider happy.
Kid Kraft Children’s Growth Chart
Want a fun way to keep track of your budding cruiser’s growth over the years? The Kid Kraft Children’s Growth Chart will help you mark every inch gained and since it features some awesome graphics, the Harley-Davidson logo below and a bike up top, it’s bound to be a favorite this holiday season.
J&P Cycles Embroidered Harley Eagle Toilet Seat
It’s the most important room in the house, so why not trick it out? The J&P Cycles Embroidered Harley Eagle Toilet Seat is the first step in turning the bathroom to a bona-fide “man cave,” plus it’s a gift that’s sure to come as an unexpected surprise. The padded seat will ensure premium-grade comfort and the iconic Eagle design is embroidered on the top and bottom of the lid.
Demos Watch Co. Stainless Steel Bike Chain Band Watch
Sure it’s not a toy or game, but the Demos Watch Co. Stainless Steel Bike Chain Watch was just too cool to leave out of MotoUSA’s gift guides this year. Held in a durable stainless steel case, the Demos Watch comes with Seiko moving parts and a white and orange dial so you can read the time in a snap. The face is pretty stripped down, but the band, made to resemble a bike’s primary chain, is what makes this watch really stand out from the crowd.
