Byron's sure to be hunched over a laptop after the checkers are flown, caught in his own little version of heaven. Whether on dirt, street or a combination of both, MotoUSA's newest addition knows the only thing better than actually riding is telling the story of how things went down.

Polaris Racing’s Beau Benson earned top honors in both the Pro Production side-by-side class as well as the Pro ATV class during WORCS Round 2 in Primm, Nevada. Ryan Piplic followed Benson in second in the side-by-side class, also piloting a Polaris RZR XP 900, followed by Josh Frederick in third. In ATV action, Frederick had better luck, earning the runner-up position, while Yamaha pilot Josh Row rounded out the podium.

Compared to the sweltering, muddy conditions riders faced in the previous round at Canyon MX Park in Peoria, Arizona, Round 2 proved to be a welcome relief. Dry, cool conditions permeated every corner of the course in Nevada and the ATV pilots were faced with a rough, trophy truck track full of uneven sand sections and a paved supermoto portion on each lap. Baron battled through the ATV pack after settling into sixth-place off the start, grabbing his first AT victory of the year. His win in the side-by-side class marked his second of the year though, after beating out the competition by a significant margin in Arizona.

Row and Frederick faced a similar challenge as Baron, having to fight through the field in the ATV class to get their podium finishes. Both riders improved on the results posted in Round 1, where Row took fifth and Frederick took sixth, and for Row, the finish marks his first rostrum since 2010.

In side-by-side action, Piplic and Frederick enjoyed vastly improved performances over their showing in the first round. Piplic finished 13th in Arizona while Frederick took a DNF. In Nevada, RP trailed Baron by 25 seconds at the checkers, and Frederik came in just over two minutes adrift of Pipick. Scoring fourth in Pro Production side-by-side was Clint Roberts, with Pablo Veglia an additional half-a-minute back in fifth.

Baron holds the top spot overall in both classes, though has Honda rider David Haagsma hot on his heels in Pro ATV, sitting just two points off the lead in second. In Pro Production SXS though, Baron has a comfortable 20-point advantge over Piplic in second.

The next WORCS event is scheduled for March 22-24, 2013 at Crazy Horse Lake Havasu City in Arizona.
