A newly revamped Thundersprint has secured backing from UK’s favourite motorcycle insurance specialist, Carole Nash.
The company, which began life as a niche classic insurance provider has grown to become a key player in the modern bike market, has been confirmed as title sponsor of the event. Thundersprint has itself followed a similar path with the legendary classic race event this year launching a new Power bikes class to embrace modern motorcycles manufactured after 1989.
Taking place on the picturesque 2.1 mile circuit on Anglesey, this year’s event is scheduled for Sunday 21 April and will feature both an ACU sanctioned sprint hill climb and Cavalcade of Motorcycling.
Commenting on the company’s decision to sponsor Thundersprint, Rebecca Donohue, Carole Nash’s head of marketing said: “From day one we have reinvested in biking, be it through helping our clubs or providing financial and practical support to events and shows across the country. We have for many years attended Thundersprint and are delighted to sponsor what is one of the most exciting and enjoyable events in the biking calendar.
She added that in addition to providing vital sponsorship Carole Nash would be providing Thundersprint visitors with free goody bags and hosting star riders on its stand.
Thundersprint organiser, Frank Melling said: “We’re delighted to have Carole Nash as the Thundersprint’s title sponsor.
“Carole Nash enjoys a fantastic reputation in the motorcycle world and in fact my bikes were insured with Carole Nash even before they became our sponsor. That speaks volumes for our confidence in the company.
“Classic icons Jim Redman and Sammy Miller will be visiting the Carole Nash stand regularly throughout the day to give advice on classic motorcycling and there will also be modern Superbike stars on hand to give riders of modern machines all the hot tips.”
