The season-opening race in the GEICO Motorcycle AMA EnduroCross series is only a few weeks away and Motorcycle-Superstore.com has solidified its rider roster and its partnership with the rapidly growing series.
“EnduroCross is the crown jewel of off-road racing,” said Tim Clark, Director of Sports Marketing for Motorcycle Superstore. “Where else can you see the top racers in the world tackle the toughest outdoor obstacles inside the comfort of an air-conditioned arena?
“EnduroCross makes for a great night of family entertainment and racing, which is the main reason Motorcycle-Superstore.com is a continued supporter of the series.”
Cody Webb leads the line-up for this year’s Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet team. Webb was runner-up to last year’s EnduroCross champion Taddy Blazusiak.
“EnduroCross has grown so much in a short timespan,” Webb said. “I used to be able to just show upwith my dad, get out there without a lot of training and I’d be able to hold my own. Now I’m doing everything I can to win the championship. It’s turning into a full time job for us. I’m up at 6:30 a.m. every day working on my track so I can maximize the training I get out of my motos.
“Everyone has been stepping up their game and getting better and better. It’s blowing up huge and everyone is doing their best to be on top.”
Other riders on the Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet team include 2012 women’s champion Maria Forsberg, Travis Coy, Ty Davis, Jamie Lanza, Kacy Martinez, Rory Mead, Bryan Roper, Ryan Sandoval, Tod Sciacqua, Gary Sutherlin, Ty Tremaine and Eric Yorba.
“Motorcycle Superstore has been one of our greatest supporters for many years and we look forward to their continued support in 2013,” said Eric Peronnard, founder of the GEICO Motorcycle EnduroCross series. “We especially enjoy working with Tim and his staff and appreciate all that Motorcycle-Superstore.com does to support our riders.”
The season kicks off May 3 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Along the way there will be stops in Sacramento, Calif.; Ontario, Calif.; Denver; Everett, Wash.; and Boise, Idaho, before a return to Las Vegas in November for the season finale.
“Motorcycle Superstore has helped me out a lot the last couple of years,” Webb said. “They get me tons more exposure than I would have gotten without them through their website and catalogs. They’ve dug down deep to help out a lot of riders. I feel fortunate to be one of them.
“Motorcycle Superstore’s help has allowed me to live my dream.”
