The Fusion 2.0 Junior is an all-in-one system that comes in two sizes appropriate to your child’s height.
In keeping with the spirit of innovation and safety that founded Leatt, the company has announced some new additions to its 2014 product line set to be available this October. Recently unveiled to motojournalists at its North American headquarters, they include a complete upper body protection system for juniors, a couple options for upper body protection for adults, a new technology vest for pre cooling, and a revolutionary design in knee braces.
The first of the new products, the Fusion Vest 2.0 Junior is a complete upper body protection system. Offering Leatt’s lightweight, vented 3DF Airfit impact protection foam for the chest, back, shoulders, the vest also includes additional flank protection and a built in Leatt neck brace. height, offers a choice of four colors, and the option of removing the shoulder pads.
For adults, there are two new options in upper body protection: the premium soft protection 3DF AirFit and the Hard Shell 5.5 Pro HD chest protector. The new 3DF AirFit features impact foam for chest, back, elbow, and shoulder protection that meets top CE certification and is 20-30% lighter. To keep users cooler, the impact foam has increased ventilation and its zip-up compression sock design (made of moisture wicking fabric) allows for maximum evaporation. They also offer a vest version and the impact foam is easily removable for washing. They will be offered in three sizes: S/M, L/XL, and XXL.
In addition to the 3DF AirFit impact foam, the new Hard Shell 5.5 Pro HD’s HDPE High Density Poly Ethylene hard shell has a multi-layer, multi-plate design that is CE certified to provide top protection for the back, chest, shoulder and flank. Its FlipFit front and rear function allows you better over and under the shirt fitting with Leatt neck braces, depending on your needs. The new Leatt chest protector also boasts 53 ventilation slots for increased ventilation for your comfort. It will be available in three sizes S/M, L/XL and XXL.
Another product that’s all about comfort and recovery is Leatt’s new Pre-Cool cooling vest. Their patented TechKewl cooling inserts for the vest freeze at 58F (14C) which not only makes it easier to freeze but also more comfortable to wear, allowing it to fit directly on your body for maximum cooling. The Pre-Cool vest will come in three adult sizes: S/M, L/XL, XXL and Junior.
Also following their philosophy of not making “me-too products,” what they describe as just slapping a logo on an industry wide product with just minor adjustments, Leatt announced their revolutionary design in knee brace technology – the C-Frame Leatt. Designed to reduce ACL, MCL, and Meniscus injuries while not sacrificing comfort, the knee brace features three-point force distribution, super stiff C-arm mono hinge construction, the Leatt InteliLink hinge with double pivot points, adjustable soft lockout, low profile shin pad, and a separate brace sock with a molded CE impact approved patella cup. The design is also aimed to work better with natural movement of the knee, fit different leg shapes better, including better boot fit, and also last longer with better hinge design. They will be offered in three sizes: S/M, L/XL and XXL.
