AMA Pro Road Racing kicked off the race weekend at Miller Motorsports Park with practice and qualifying sessions in AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike, GoPro Daytona SportBike and SuperSport.

National Guard SuperBike

Monster Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes led the way though SuperBike practice and qualifying at Miller on Friday, posting his best effort in the afternoon session at 1’51.301. National Guard Jordan Suzuki’s Roger Hayden pushed to match the pace, but fell short by three-tenths of a second. Hayes’ teammate, Josh Herrin, finished third-fastest.

Yoshimura Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas trailed Herrin in fourth, followed by Jordan Suzuki’s Danny Eslick in fifth. Pegram Racing’s Larry Pegram ended in sixth followed by Team Hero’s Geoff May in seventh.

AMA Pro Daytona SportBike

Yamaha Extended Service’s Cameron Beaubier put up the fastest qualifying time in AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike, outpacing his teammate, Garrett Gerloff, by just over one second. Meen Motorsports’ Jake Lewis finished Friday’s session third-fastest.

Latus Motors Racing’s Jason DiSalvo logged the fourth-fastest time followed by RoadRace Factory’s JD Beach finished fifth trailed by his teammate, Jake Gagne in sixth.

RoadRace Factory’s Tomas Puerta finished Friday’s SuperSport qualifying session fastest, with a 1’57.189 lap time. Baby Appleseed’s Jeffrey Tigert ended 0.063 adrift of the lead pace in second, followed by Meen Motorsports’ Wyatt Farris in third.

California Superbike School’s Joe Roberts, winner of the previous round at Laguna Seca, came in fourth-fastest followed by’s Stefano Mesa in fifth.
