Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII), the leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, today announced the company is the presenting sponsor of RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN, which is set to be the largest and richest one-day rodeo in western sports history, with a payout of $2 million.

“THE AMERICAN offers us a unique opportunity to support the western lifestyle, which we know a lot of our RANGER customers are a part of,” said Beth Shimanski, marketing manager for Polaris RANGER. “We are excited to be part of what will be a defining day for the best rodeo athletes in the world.”

As the presenting sponsor, Polaris RANGER will not only have a strong presence at the event, but will also be awarding a customized RANGER, designed by their fans, to each winner of the events. Fans at the event or watching from home will also have a chance to win a brand-new Polaris RANGER Side-by-Side Vehicle.

“We are thrilled to have Polaris RANGER as the presenting partner to THE AMERICAN. Polaris RANGER is a perfect fit for the western lifestyle, whether you are out checking your cattle, hunting or building a fence,” said Randy Bernard, CEO and President of RURAL MEDIA GROUP.

THE AMERICAN will be held on March 2, 2014, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The rodeo offers seven individual events: Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping and Barrel Racing, with the top 10 contestants in the world after the WNFR and PBR Championships competing against those who qualified during the qualifying rounds for the largest, one-day payout in the history of the sport, $2 million.

Tickets for THE AMERICAN went on sale on September 16, 2013. Ticket prices range from $20 to $150, not including taxes. They can be purchased at the AT&T Stadium Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations and online at www.americanrodeo.com.
