Shoei VFX-W

Shoei VFX Helmet
Shoei VFX-W Helmet.

The Shoei VFX-W is the gold standard in off-road motorcycle helmet technology. Although it’s a little heavy, the fit and overall craftsmanship of this Japanese-made helmet is nothing short of extraordinary. I wear a size small and while it takes a heavy push to get it on and off my head, I love the way it cradles my melon, with zero pressure points. True, the eye port isn’t as large as some other brand’s, but it is still functional. The helmet’s interior can be easily removed for cleaning and it features clever pull tabs that help allow paramedics to slip off your helmet with less risk of neck injury in a severe crash. I’ve taken many a spill in Shoei’s VFX-W with no long-term effects. Whether I’m play riding on trails or racing moto on weekend’s this is my go-to helmet. – Adam Waheed
