Motorcycle Superstore/Bell helmet support riders were back on the podium this past weekend, dominating round three of the TWMX Winter Cup Series and hanging tough in the California desert, while Justin Brayton put his JGRMX Yamaha in the lead pack in Oakland, CA.
The Overstock.com Coliseum in Oakland, CA, played host to Round 4 of the Monster Energy Supercross series and provided Justin Brayton another opportunity to prove he can race with the top guys in the sport. After a fifth place finish in his Heat race, Brayton moved onto the Semi where he easily took the win. In the Main event, Brayton had another decent start, holding down the third spot for the first part of the race and eventually finishing a solid fifth between Dungey and Roczen.
FMF/RPM/KTM Racing’s Justin Jones has been on a roll in 2014 – three races and three podiums. This time it was the top spot at round three of the Muscle Milk Transworld Motocross Winter Cup Series held at Competitive Edge MX Park. Jones brought his “A” game winning both motos. “For me, the race was great. I ended up with both holeshots and two moto wins; I couldn’t ask for a better weekend.”
The lastest addition to Motorcycle Superstore‘s Bell Helmet support program is Rily Ellinger whose 2014 plans include racing the Big 6 series, EnduroCross, WORCS and some National Hare & Hounds, like the one this weekend in Lucerne.
This was her first race of the year and from what it sounds like, it was a doozie as the 80 mile loop took Rily eight hours to finish 2nd in the Women’s division. “This race was a true test of my character… there were times when quitting would have been way easier on my bike and body, but I never gave up, and I am proud
to say I finished this one!”
What’s Up Next…
This coming weekend is the King of the Motos and Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet’s Cody Webb is ready to defend his title while FMF/RPM/KTM Racing’s Ty Tremaine, Travis Coy, Rachel Gutish and Louise Forsley will soon learn how tough it is to be King.
It is also round one of the Big 6 Grand Prix Series in Taft, CA, where FMF/RPM/KTM Racing’s Eric Yorba will be looking for his first Pro Class win in that series. Rily Ellinger has already recovered from her Hare & Hound adventure and will be on the start line looking for a win – but will have to get by current Women’s Class Champion and Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet support rider, Elizabeth Bash.
