Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo notched his second 250 SX East win of the season in Indianapolis. AC’s teammate, Martin Davalos, finished in second followed by GEICO Honda’s Justin Bogle in third.

Factory Metal Works’ Vince Friese scored the holeshot but Davalos was right on top of the Honda rider and moved to the front of the pack before the end of Lap 1. Cianciarulo slotted into second followed by Friese but within the opening laps the Honda rider lost two positions as Riverside Harley-Davidson’s Jason Decotis and Bogle’s teammate, Matt Bisceglia, moved ahead. Bogle was back in 10th while Cianciarulo’s teammate, Blake Baggett, suffered another terrible start and was running 12th during the initial laps.

Davalos and Cianciarulo held steady in the number one and two spots and Bisceglia dispatched Decotis for third with 12 laps remaining. Bogle’s teammate, Blake Wharton, was battling to make it into the top-five but then went down hard, ending his chances for a significant points take.

As the race reached mid-point Davalos went down, though he was able to remount in third. Cianciarulo took over the lead but a few laps later nearly lost it with a bobble of his own, but he was able to recover and maintain the front. The SX rookie nearly lost the lead again on the final lap with another mistake, but he was able to regain control in time to throttle across the finish in first.

Bogle, meanwhile, was charging up the ranks, making it to within podium position as the race neared the final laps. With two remaining Bogle made his way past Bisceglia for third, where he’d hold to the checkers.

Bisceglia finished fourth and Baggett clawed his way up the field to take fifth. Friese finished sixth followed by Decotis in seventh.

Cianciarulo leads the 250 SX East championship by five points over Davalos in second. Bogle is third, two points ahead of Baggett in fourth.
