Kawasaki’s Ninja models debuted in America when the Ninja 900 first hit the scene in 1984. The Ninja name would spread to other sportbike designs in the Japanese manufacturer’s lineup, from the entry-level Ninja 250 up to the massive ZX-14. In the 600 Supersport ranks Kawasaki introduced the ZX-6R in 1995 and has kept the model in production ever since, at various displacements from 599cc to its current 636cc form. Kawasaki also introduced the ZX-10R in 2004 to compete in the Superbike ranks.
In celebration of the 30th year since the beginning of Kawasaki’s modern sportbike odyssey, the company will release two special edition ZX Ninja motorcycles in 2015. The 30th Anniversary ZX-6R and ZX-10R carry the same performance characteristics as the standard models, but feature a special Pearl Stardust White, Lime Green color scheme with 30th Anniversary badging on the fairings. Both ABS and non-ABS versions are available and special edition models will retail for $300 more than the standard 2015 versions. Pricing for the ZX-6R ABS 30th Anniversary Edition is listed at $12,999 while the ZX-10R ABS 30th Anniversary motorcycle will sell for $14,599.
