Aidan’s Ride N.Y. will take place June 1, starting at Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn and ending at The Emporium in Long Island. Money raised from the benefit ride will go to the Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation to help bring awareness to ALD, a rare brain disorder that can be fatal. The Foundation is seeking to have all children screened for ALD at birth when the disorder can still be combated and overcome.
The folks at Indian Larry Motorcycles are planning a big benefit ride June 1 and are inviting anybody and everybody to come out to support the cause.
All proceeds from Aidan’s Ride N.Y. will go to the Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation. The foundation seeks to raise awareness about Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare brain disorder in children that is treatable if detected early but can be fatal if undetected. The Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation aims to have children screened for the disease at birth because the odds of beating the disease increase astronomically if it’s detected early. Aidan Jack Seeger, the son of Indian Larry Motorcycles’ Elisa and Bobby Seeger, was a victim of this horrible disease, and since his passing his parents have been lobbying to have all newborns screened for ALD in hopes that no other families have to endure the loss of a child.
On a more upbeat note, it’s going to be a fun-filled event. The ride starts at Indian Larry Motorcycles, 400 Union Ave., Brooklyn, NY, and ends at The Emporium in Long Island. Sights along the way include the Brooklyn Bridge, NY city skyline, Jones Beach, Robert Moses Beach. There will be a big bash at The Emporium afterwards. A $40 donation (goes up to $60 day of the ride) includes participation in the run, gets you into the after-party at The Emporium where there will be a buffet and live music, and includes entry into the raffles that will be held in conjunction with the event, one of them for a West Coast Choppers El Diablo motorcycle. Music will be provided by Hellbound Glory, Big House Pete, and The Shiners. So mark your calendars for June 1 and become a member of Aidan’s Posse.

Aidan’s Ride N.Y.
Aidan Jack Seeger was diagnosed with ALD in 2011 at just six years old. He lost his battle with the disease in 2012. Had he been diagnosed at birth, he could have lived a full life. The Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation was established in his honor to help families of children newly diagnosed with ALD raise awareness of the disease and press legislators to pass laws requiring newborn screening. This ride will help the Foundation continued its fight for national newborn screening and help families with children that have ALD. Join in the fight by riding with us from Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn to Patchogue, Long Island for a post-ride party at one of Long Island’s hottest clubs – The Emporium.
