His insatiable thirst for life is only surpassed by his monthly fuel bill. Whether rocketing on land, flying through the air, or jumping the seas, our Road Test Editor does it all and has the scars to prove it.

Adam Waheed, 35, Road Test Editor – 6’0”, 178 pounds – Aprilia Tuono V4R ABS

I can’t even believe how excellent a motorcycle the Aprilia is. It quite literally offers track-grade performance in a friendly-for-the-streets package. And with its electronics you can wail on the thing with little worry. I’m utterly amazed that Aprilia could build such an exquisite motorcycle. The V4R is clearly the best bike in this competition. Factor in its price and it’s an absolute no brainer on what bike I’d buy.

Jason Abbott, 35, Cycle News Test Rider – 5’11”, 195 pounds – Aprilia Tuono V4R ABS

It’s clear that the Aprilia Tuono is the one that takes the cake for me. It looks amazing, has incredible power and is super comfortable. Not only was it easy to control but that sound it makes is out of this world. It made me want to crack on the throttle and just rip on the thing.

Alex Dunstan, 35, Guest Test Rider – 6’1”, 175 pounds – Aprilia Tuono V4R ABS

I’d say the Aprilia and the MV are the bikes that stood out for me. There’s a lot of things to like about the Aprilia. It’s a great looking bike, it’s a great sounding bike, and it handled really well. There’s a lot of things to like about it and the one that I’d probably buy.

Nathon Verdugo, 35, Guest Test Rider – 6’0”, 170 pounds – Aprilia Tuono V4R ABS

I’d buy the Aprilia just based off the sound it makes alone. But then you factor in how comfortable it is, not to mention its excellent handling and it makes my decision that much easier. This bike is a total home run.
