Vicki Golden Nominated for 2014 ESPY

ESPN Sports has announced the nominations for this years ESPY awards. The 2014 ESPYS are LIVE on Wednesday July 16th and is an event where the sports world joins together to celebrate the best athletes and moments of the past year.

Vicki Golden, X Games Women’s Moto X gold medalist and first female Metal Mulisha rider has been nominated for 2014’s Best Female Action Sports Athlete ESPY award. In 2013 Golden won the gold medal at the X Games in Los Angeles, holding the women’s racing title for the third year in a row. She also became the first women to compete against the men in the Moto X Best Whip event where she took home the bronze medal.

Golden has been breaking down barriers for female motocross riders in her years of racing and has never let the small amount of female riders intimidate her. As one of the few women riders she competes also with the men as well as her teammates from Metal Mulisha. Golden stands out in her category against other amazing action female athletes as someone who continues to break gender barriers and charms fans with her determination and style.
