While an official spec sheet has yet to be released, we believe the F3 signifies it will be powered by the Inline Triple Can-Am debuted last year in its Spyder RT. The liquid-cooled 1330cc Inline Triple is claimed to put out 115 hp at 7250 rpm and 96 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. We’re wagering it will get the six-speed gearbox with electronic clutch control from the 2014 RT as well. In the past, Spyders have been offered in both manual and semi-automatic forms, a trend we anticipate will extend to the 2015 F3.
Features the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3 will carryover include the three-wheeler’s proprietary Y-architecture, two wheels up front with a double-A arm design and a swingarm teamed to a single rear wheel. Most likely it also features Can-Am’s Vehicle Stability System, a combination of traction and stability control combined with anti-lock brakes.
We’ll follow up with a complete first look once Can-Am releases more details, but in the meantime we can tell you that the company is holding a contest on its Facebook page where two lucky winners will be among the first to ride the new Spyder in Daytona Beach during Biketoberfest. Here’s the details, courtesy of Can-Am.
