With a fresh start to the spring, May 1st officially kicks off Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, an initiative supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

As the weather gets warmer, motorcyclists dust off their bikes and prepare for the new season of riding. To help prevent motorcycle accidents, we encourage both motorcyclists and automobile drivers to follow basic safety rules and be more aware of their surroundings. Share the responsibility of keeping our roads safe—always share the road.

In recognition and support of Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, Rider Insurance will be running its annual month long promotion throughout May with daily giveaways, as well as weekly bonus prizes, ranging from motorcycle safety apparel to motorcycle training courses. The promotion kicks off at 10am (EDT) on Friday, May 1, 2015. To enter visit www.facebook.com/RiderInsuranceCo.

As an added bonus this year, Rider will be bringing a special email offer to all of its policyholders allowing them to purchase Albedo 100 Invisible Bright at a discounted price. Albedo 100 Invisible Bright is a light-reflective spray intended for use on textiles and is invisible by day but light-reflective by night and completely washable.

“Watch for Motorcycles” decals will also be available at the Rider booth at various motorcycle events and motorcycle dealerships events throughout DE, IN, MD, MI, NJ, OH, PA, VA and WV free of charge. For event locations, go to www.rider.com/motorcycle_community/motorcycle-events.html.

Rider will continue to support other individuals and organizations in their efforts to promote motorcycle safety awareness through the Rider Insurance Bleiwise Family Foundation and general corporate donations and sponsorships throughout the riding season.
