Darryn Durham will miss the 2015 Motocross season due to injury. TLD has not confirmed whether a fill-in rider will be chosen to take his place.

As the much anticipated 2015 Pro Motocross Championship season rapidly approaches, many riders are out at the track, testing and honing their skills. One rider who will be absent from the prep and the starting line of the Hangtown Motocross Classic is TLD’s Darryn Durham.

Durham suffered a wrist injury back at Round 1 of the 2015 AMA Supercross Championship in January. The injury and subsequent surgery would sideline the rider for the remainder of the season. Although he has been getting back on the bike in recent months for local races in hopes of getting prepared for the outdoors, Durham and the team have decided that he is not yet at 100%.

“It’s a real bummer that we won’t get to see Darryn out there on the TLD KTM for outdoors,” says team manager, Tyler Keefe. “We all had really high hopes of seeing him do well this summer, and I know he was looking forward to it after being off the bike for Supercross. I hope his wrist heals well enough for him to return to racing soon.”

The TLD Race Team can not yet confirm whether there will be a fill-in rider recruited to take Durham’s place at this time.

About KTM:
“READY TO RACE” for KTM, these three words are far more than a simple slogan. They stand for the entire company philosophy of developing vehicles that can without any modifications comprehensively assert themselves in any race. Direct from the dealer onto the track and into the battle for victory. Designers, engineers and riders are bound by a clear common denominator: an unconditional passion for motorcycles. The whole KTM family is a living example of this worldwide. Countless offroad World and European championship titles plus brilliant victories in the world’s toughest races (International Six Days Enduro, Dakar Rally, Erzbergrodeo, and many more) all speak for themselves. And KTM Supermotos, Naked Bikes, Superbikes and the X-Bow all demonstrate what an “orange” lead means on asphalt.
