MotoUSA’s August 2015 digital magazine issue is now live! We’re also excited to announce that readers can now easily access new and archived issues via the MotoUSA Magazine app for iPhone and iPad, available at the iTunes store.
This month’s issue is packed with first rides, many of which take us off-road to sample the latest and greatest motocrossers coming for 2016. Headlining the dirt reviews is the 2016 Yamaha YZ450F, which we flog at three different tracks to assess its merits over last year’s model. For additional clarity we brought along the 2015 version as well to see if the engine, ECU and launch control updates really result in a more able machine.
We then head out on Honda’s 2016 CRF450R, which received revisions aimed at improving stability and overall balance. Additional off-road coverage comes in the form of a review of the 2015 KLIM Cow Tag Event, which challenged riders to earn points by collecting cow tags spread over several miles of trails. Then it’s off to the 2015 Touratech Rally for three-days of Adventure Touring in Washington.
If road-going is more your speed, don’t despair, the August 2015 issue of MotoUSA Magazine features the first impressions of the 2016 BMW R1200RS, a sport-inspired mount which makes use of BMW’s popular Boxer Twin engine. We ditch the petrol all together after that and turn some laps on the 2016 Victory Empulse TT electric motorcycle.
MotoUSA also reports back from the 75th Annual Sturgis Rally, reviews the Z2 Track Days Novice School and takes a tour of the MV Agusta Factory in Italy.
Don’t forget to check out the product reviews and read about the 1968 Honda CT90, which is detailed by our contributing classic motorcycle expert, then finish it off with an incredible story of endurance racing from our Backmarker.
