Ducati has released teaser images of the latest addition to its Monster line, the Monster 1200R, which is slated to be unveiled during the Volkswagen Group Night in Frankfurt on September 14, 2015. The Italian brand promises “a more powerful engine, a sportier chassis and an advanced design,” but no specific changes are detailed.

Last year Ducati updated the Monster lineup with liquid-cooled 1200 and 1200S models. The 1200R expands the 1200 range, with the radiator prominently displayed in the teaser photo. The 2014 Monster 1200 received high marks in MotoUSA’s First Ride review, with performance gains noticeable from the engine to the chassis when compared to the outgoing Monster 1100 EVO. Ducati will release further details on the 14th. Stay tuned.
