KYMCO USA Recalls all 2015 & 2016 Super 8x 50cc and 150cc Scooters

KYMCO USA has issued a recall on all 2015 and 2016 Super 8X 50cc and 150cc scooters. According to a letter from KYMCO distributed along with a press release announcing the recall, “on some vehicles the front hydraulic brake line may be damaged due to improper routing causing the hydraulic brake line to fail. This condition can cause a loss of control of the vehicle resulting in injury or death.”

2016 Super – 8 50 X: LC2U2A0_GC200101 – LC2U2A0_GC200202
2015 Super – 8 150 X: LC2D3J1_FC200204 – LC2D3J1_FC200788
2016 Super – 8 150 X: LC2D3J1_GC200101 – LC2D3J1_GC200134

KYMCO advises that owners of affected models contact an authorized dealer for repair. The company also advises that all vehicles within the specified range be repaired “regardless of whether or not the existing hydraulic brake line exhibits the conditions noted in this recall.”
