About Carey Hart …
Carey Hart is one of the most recognizable names in any form of motorsports. His father bought him his first motocross bike when he was only four-years-old in hopes of spending some quality time with his son. What originally started as a father and son pastime quickly turned into Hart’s passion. Successful first as an amateur local racer, Hart skyrocketed to the ranks of a professional AMA Supercross rider by the time he graduated from high school.
Today regarded as a pop culture icon, the “Father of Freestyle” was a driving force of the avant-garde motorcycle movement in the 1990s. One of the most innovative riders ever, Hart’s tricks like the ‘Hart Attack’ and the sport’s first ever backflip on a 250CC motorcycle at the 2000 Gravity Games have earned him personal world recognition and as well as attention for the sport.
Hart has also proven to be an astute businessman turning his passion for tattoos into Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company. Opened in 2004 in the famous Palms Casino in Las Vegas, the venture has grown to include Hart & Huntington shops in Honolulu, Niagara Falls (N.Y.), Orlando (Fla.) at Universal CityWalk and Las Vegas (now located in The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.) The company is also the subject for the A&E reality television show INKED.
Throughout his life, Hart has stayed close to his motocross roots forming powerhouse team RCH Racing in 2012. Along with legendary motocross racer and partner Ricky Carmichael, Hart molded one of the most innovative and lifestyle-driven privateer teams in the sport into a fully-sponsored championship-caliber factory race team.
In 2015 Hart was the Grand Marshall of the Sturgis Mayor’s ride during the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
