And life ain’t easy for the rider’s support structure either. After the motos, when the factory riders fly off to rest and train for the next round, the wrenchers’ work is just beginning.

When the gate drops, it’s nothing but a lone rider aboard a precision machine fighting against a field of equally hungry competitors, all mercilessly vying for the chance to stand on the top step of the podium. As spectators caught in the thrill of the action on track, the battles between riders striving for the best possible finishing position can often overshadow the fact that motocross is, by nearly every measure, a team sport.
