Josh Grant had a great first moto leading for the for nine laps and finishing second. The second moto was a disaster. A flat tire knock Grant down to 24th.
Ryan Dungey went 1-1 for the second weekend in a row and left High Point with the red number plate reserved for the points leader.
BT101 went 4-6 for fourth over at High Point. Townley's results are improving each race.
Chad Reed's second moto was cut short by a broken brake caliper from contact with Ben Townley on the start.
Pro Circuit's Tyla Rattray went 2-2, which was good enough for his first ever overall win in a National Mx.
Christophe Pourcel won the second moto to put him up on the podium with a second overall.
Blake Wharton put his GEICO Powersports Honda in third overall with a third place in the second moto.
GEICO Powersport's Brett Metcalfe put his Honda into third overall with a solid ride in the second moto.
The "Wild Child" Justin Barcia flogged his GEICO Honda to a first moto win at High Point.
Andrew Short rode to a 3-2 finish at High Point which was good enough for second overall.
Dean Wilson didn't have the weekend he was hoping for at High Point. The Canadian Pro Circuit rider ended up fifth for the day.
The action was high flying in Mount Morris for the High Point National. Here Broc Tickle and Wil Hahn share the same airspace over the "Leap of Faith."
Mike Alessi looked fast on his KTM 350 SX-F, however he faded in both motos ending up fifth overall. Alessi sits third in points behind Dungey and Metcalfe.
Tommy Hahn rode a strong second moto to grab a fourth, putting him in seventh for the day.
JGR's Justin Brayton returned to competition thus weekend at High Point. He toughed out both motos with sore ribs, finishing 12th overall.
High Point fans are not afraid of inclement weather. Even when the rain was falling they were enjoying the racing.
The fans at High Point went wild for Andrew Short's performance during both motos. Short went 3-2 for second overall.
The conditions for the first 250 class moto were less than ideal with the rain and mud; most the time it was hard to tell who was who. Who is this?
The rookie sensation Eli Tomac didn't put up the results many were expecting this weekend. Tomac finished 16th overall.
Honda's Trey Canard rode to a fourth place finish in moto two. Combined with his fourteenth in moto one, Canard finished seventh for the day.
KTM's Tommy Searle was able to charge from mid-pack all the way to sixth in the second moto. Unfortunately, a mistake caused him to finish 15th, and he took an overall result of 6-15 at High Point.
Mike Alessi was able to battle with leaders Josh Grant and Ryan Dungey briefly in the second moto where he eventually finished fifth. He also took fifth overall with his 7-5 scores at High Point.
Ryan Dungey went 1-1 for the second weekend in a row at High Point. The Suzuki rider's endurance is unparalleled at this point in the season.
Although it doesn't look like it here, Tyla Rattray is comfortable racing in muddy. sloppy conditions.
