Windham and Stewart Vegas Crash Sequence
Monday, May 9, 2011
Windham and Stewart battled hard.
James Stewart and Kevin Windham gave racing fans at the Las Vegas Supercross
in Sam Boyd Stadium one of the greatest battles of the evening. K-Dub put his impeccable throttle control, smooth style and veteran experience to use and immediately took the lead. Stewart pulled right behind, watching lines and eventually making a clean pass. From there he started doing a ridiculous quad followed by a triple-triple-double section. Windham took one look at the tricky combo and started doing it the very next lap. The Honda rider was not going to be outdone and was riding the best he has all season. Unfortunately, the epic war was cut short when Stewart carried his front end over one of the whoops and crashed. Windham was already committed and had nowhere to go, attempting to wheelie over the YZ450F
but getting pitched in the process. The Honda rider was too shaken to continue and Stewart dusted himself off for 15th.
