Amateurs Ride 2012 Monster Energy Cup
Thursday, November 01, 2012
While much of the focus of the
2012 Monster Energy Cup rested on the premier-class riders vying for the million dollar prize, the event also hosted Supermini and Amateur All Star class events to give young riders a taste of competing in the big leagues. Cooper Webb ended the night the Amateur All Stars champion while Austin Forkner earned the win in the Supermini contest and competition was fierce in both classes since all the top amateur contenders were there to duke it out. These riders spend years honing their skills for singular events like this, or the week at
Loretta Lynn’s, to really make an impact on those searching for the next big thing in off-road motorcycle racing. Check out the video below, courtesy of Monster Energy, to see these young-guns in action at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
