Huntley Nash took the checkers in Saturday’s red-flagged AMA SuperSport race at Laguna Seca over Austin Dehaven and Scott Gilbert.

Austin Dehaven took a solid second-place behind Huntley Nash in the SuperSport contest at Laguna Seca.
At the start of the SuperSport race Tyler O’Hara (#29) and Tomas Puerta (#12) were out in front. But as Puerta accelerated out of Turn 3 the rear tire broke traction, sending him flying over the handlebars in a highside-style crash.
Huntley Nash (#75) took the win by a full 3.5 seconds ahead of Austin Dehaven.

Martin Cardenas: "I put my head down and tried to do some quick laps. Unfortuanetly [Fong] crashed in the first turn. From then on it was a lonely race for me and it was difficult to maintain the pace and concentration. And at the end the rear tire was sliding a lot."
Tommy Aquino (#6) would eventually be passed by both Clinton Seller (#4) and Steve Rapp (#15).
Martin Cardenas (#36) and Bobby Fong (#30) never got the chance to duel with each other after Fong crashed out in Turn 2.
