I own a 2007 FLHR Road King, two-tone Suede Blue Pearl over Black. Bike has plenty of power and a very smooth ride. Controls are easily manipulated, and easy to find. Bike comes with plenty of chrome right from the dealer, but I've added a StreetSlammer bar, Chrome Voltage regulator cover, Aileron Grips, and a few other pieces to make it "mine". The color option is amazing! I constantly get compliments when I ride, and not just from fellow bikers. As far as reliability, I rode from Maine to Gettysburg PA in good and bad weather, and never had a problem over 1700+ miles. Bike now has 8800 miles on it, and still runs like new.
Only things I would improve, 5th gear has a very unique noise that just doesn't sound like its "normal" and the shifting on the fly is loud. If Harley really wants to manufacture a Touring bike, they should sell it with a Touring seat. The stock seat offers little back support, so its fine around town, but who buys a Touring bike to cruise the neighborhood? My next purchase will be a Sundowner deep bucket or Touring seat with a rider backrest.
In summary, this is a great bike. I upgraded from a 2004 XL1200R to this bike, and its been a winner from day one.
