It truly is impressive how Honda has been able to build a stable bike with such radical geometry. Credit the HESD, but the techie damper - stuffed under the forward end of the fuel tank cover - isn't without compromise. Street testing in the twisty hills above Malibu revealed a bike more difficult to transition than the specs indicate. A reduction in sub-60-mph damping would increase the CBR's agility. Still, all of our testers rated the CBR highly, both on the street and on the track.

I have had my CBR since June of 2009 and had done nothing but fall completely in love with this bike. It is definitely the best bike I have ever ridden. I used to be a Suzuki GSX-R man, but never again. HONDA FOREVER BABY!!!!!!!!

Since I was 17 years old, all I've ever owned was Honda motorcycles. This is my 3rd CBR 600 and my first 600RR and all I can say is that Honda only does better every time they release a new motorcycle. The engine is great, it produces lots of power, a little less on the torque than I'm use to on the F4I's. Because it is a 600, it does lack low end power and torque. However, after the 7000 RPM range, the power and torque seen to climb at an incredible rate. The handling is awesome for being a 600. The increased weight saving of the 2007 compared to the 2006 is amazing. It is way too easy to toss the bike back and forth between the leans. The suspension is a bit stiff out of the box, but after a long weekend of tuning it, the suspension feels a lot better. Word to the wise, tuning is not a one man job nor is it a job for the weak at heart. It is a time consuming job that you just want to give up on a lot. When you done, however, you will be glad that you did. After a good tune, the handling only gets better. The turning radius shortens and allows you take those extra sharp turns at a harder lean. The brakes are good, but I do believe that they could of been upgraded. Steel braided lines and new rotors takes care of that and shortens up the stopping distance by at least 75 feet. The cockpit of the bike is easy to read. It doesn't have a shift light, but it isn't a big deal. All the control are easy to use and within reach, just in case you have small hands. The seat is a bit hard, makes long rides uncomfortable. A gel seat will solve that problem. All the controls are easy to use and the shift pedal makes changing gears very smooth. I do wish that the rear sets are adjustable, only because I do take my bike to the track and it is a little difficult to drag knee with the factory rear sets. As of the reliability part, it's a Honda...
