The Yamaha XT225 has a reliable, 223cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine puts out strong, predictable pull across the entire RPM range for great on- and off-road performance. Standard instrumentation includes a speedometer with odometer and resettable tripmeter as well as indicator lights for neutral, high beam and turn signals.

I live in Saipan Northern Marianas Island directly north of Guam. On September 2010, my wife baught a XT 225 Dual on/off road motorcycle for my birthday and it was the BEST present I ever recieved.
The size of the motorcycle is perfect for anyone to ride and handle. It's very lite and easily manueveral in tight places. I took my bike around the island and have gone through dense jungle and my bike went through the dense jungle like a hot knife through butter.
I drove it down the beach - really sandy beach and the traction and handling of my bike was perfect. I did not have to put my feet down on the sand to balance my ride over the sand, it is perfectly balanced. I've tried other on/off motorcycles but my XT 225 beat them all.
The response of the throttle is great and the engine is powerfull in low and high gear. It's so fun to drive that I even drive to and from work with my bike. I have owned a suzuki and honda motorcycles but my XT 225 is the best I have driven. Sometimes my wife wished she didn't buy my bike because I ride it more than.... You know!
