Friday Notes from AMA Races at Road America
Friday, June 3, 2011
Hey everybody, Motorcycle USA is here in the land of cheese, beer and Harley-Davidson
for the AMA road races taking place at Road America’s road course just north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My apologies in advance: I bit off more than I could chew as usual so this weekend is going to be bare bones reporting status as I still have to spend lots of time plugging away at the track edition of our seven-bike middleweight/Supersport sportbike shootout that comes out on Monday. But back to racing: the weather this time of year is always iffy but today was absolutely beautiful with sunny skies and the mercury hovering in the low-to-mid 70s. The forecast calls for this exact weather to continue so if you’re thinking of coming out you should definitely pull the trigger as this weekend is shaping up to be one of the best race weekends ever. Don’t believe me? Dudes are doing smokey burn-outs outside my hotel room as I type this—get some! Stay tuned for updates throughout the weekend.
