This past weekend I got to chat with AMA Pro Racing’s Technical Director Al Ludington and he revealed that Kawasaki’s new 636cc-powered Ninja ZX-6R (find out more in the
2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R First Ride) is on the fast track to being homologated for both the Daytona SportBike and
Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport road racing classes for the '13 season. Considering its higher engine torque output and beefier mid-range performance the new ZX-6R could be the most cost-effective formula for a privateer racing looking for a edge on track. Only time will tell if we’ll see any green bikes on the grid for the races at the season opener at Daytona next month...
